This premium hosozao shamisen is crafted from high-quality Shitan (Rosewood) and features a unique matte finish. Instead of applying the final polishing process, the natural texture of the wood is intentionally preserved, creating a smooth, silky feel and an elegant, understated appearance.

You can enjoy the beautiful matte finish as it is, or gradually polish the instrument yourself over time using camellia oil or a similar wood oil. As the surface develops its own natural luster through use and care, your shamisen will become a truly one-of-a-kind instrument with its own character.
